Southern Ohio Educational Service Center Superintendent or designee with strategic direction and feedback from the Clinton County Workforce Collaborative Steering Committee

In‑District Staff at Blanchester, Clinton‑Massie, and East Clinton Local Schools, and Wilmington City Schools

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, economic development, business, public administration, or related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of workforce development, project management, education‑business partnership, or related experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success working collaboratively with educators, employers, local government, service providers, and/or community organizations.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives, timelines, data/reporting routines, and stakeholder communications.
  • Must pass any required background check.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
General Description

Under administrative direction, the Clinton County Workforce Development Coordinator serves as the countywide “backbone” lead for the Clinton County Workforce Collaborative (CCWC), championing workforce development efforts across Clinton County and ensuring a coordinated, measurable, and equitable system of career exploration, career pathways, and work‑based learning (WBL). The Coordinator provides a single point of coordination for partners, builds and maintains employer engagement with K‑12 partners, strengthens and supports district implementation of a range of WBL opportunities, and supports the mission, vision, goals, and operations of the CCWC.

Functions
  • Support the execution of the Mission, Vision, Goals, and Operations of the Clinton County Workforce Collaborative.
  • Coordinate and support CCWC governance structures as needed.
  • Assist the CCWC Steering Committee with annual strategic planning.
  • Facilitate quarterly continuous‑improvement cycles and annual impact reporting.
  • Assist with securing annual financial contributions from program investors and seek grant opportunities.
  • Promote CCWC through a variety of channels (website, social media, in‑person presentations, news outlets).
  • Serve as leader in the program role with the Clinton County Business Advisory Council (BAC).
  • Enthusiastically participate in activities and initiatives of the CCWC.
  • Build and maintain employer engagement with K‑12 partners – develop and publish a centralized employer engagement menu, maintain an updated employer directory, increase employer participation and representation across priority sectors, promote and share opportunities with clear expectations.
  • Strengthen K‑12 Career Exploration and Career‑Technical Education Pathways Across Districts – support districts in building/expanding career exploration progression (PK‑5, 6‑8, 9‑12) and Career‑Technical Education pathways/programs aligned to local workforce needs; coordinate countywide career exploration activities and serve as a connector between educators and employers.
  • Communicate State Standards and Ensure Compliance for a countywide WBL system – build and implement a countywide WBL toolkit, coordinate Ohio’s WBL experiences with partners, encourage student readiness supports, and set consistent experience expectations.
  • Support In‑District Staff – provide guidance, coaching, tools, shared processes; coordinate cross‑district routines; share best practices and support professional learning and networking opportunities.
  • Lead data, reporting, and key performance indicators aligned to CCWC KPIs (students served, WBL completed, active employers engaged, employer retention, internship placements/completion, satisfaction measures, action‑item completion).
  • Perform other duties in conformity with the adopted Principle of Service, maintain professional appearance, demonstrate regular attendance, confidentiality, maintain required certificates/licensure, attend workshops and meetings.
