Job Details

Hourly Rate: $29.00+ an hour. The hours are M-F 7-3, or 8-4 with flexibility on the schedule!

Position Summary
  • Assist in expanding our understanding and use of PVC products to characterize and specify recycled PVC blends.
  • Assist in a phase or key part of a project by analyzing processes, products, or equipment against desired results, including formulation characterization.
  • Ability to follow ASTM standards to the testing specifications as requested via LTR instructions.
  • Conduct experiments to improve upon or duplicate various materials and processes.
  • Recommends improvements to R&D instrumentation, equipment, and lab procedures based on results analyzed.
  • Assist in trial runs, field evaluations and analysis of customer requirements for a project.
  • Presents meaningful results and unbiased conclusions to R&D and other technical functions.
  • Capable of interpreting test results and providing concise reports per LTR.
  • Willingness to assist on cross-functional teams for assigned projects.
  • Embrace “Zero Harm” mindset in every aspect of daily work.
  • Must be willing to travel to independent test labs.
Position Qualifications

Education:

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or an Associate Degree in engineering, applied or physical science.

Other Desired Skills
  • Working knowledge of polymer processing analysis, testing and equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and report data, including testing equipment troubleshooting.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Understands lab scale processes and technologies for mixing and/or extrusion.
  • Demonstrated expertise in decking & rail assembly and extrusion.
  • Ability to build custom test setups for ASTM standards and/or non-standard test setups.
