- Clinton Regional Hospital at 610 W Main St, Wilmington, OH 45177
- Full-Time (72 hours bi-weekly)
- Day shift from 7AM – 7PM
- Weekend and holiday rotation

Job Requirements:- High School Degree
- Healthcare experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Reading and math ability appropriate to the position
Provides assistance and/or performs basic activities of daily living and specified treatments and procedures under the direct supervision of the nurse. May perform non-direct patient care activities as assigned, requested, or directed. The PCA II is responsible for orientation of new PCAs, coordination of PCA annual competency-based education (CBEs), assisting in PCA recruitment, retention, and scheduling activities, coordinating recurring PCA tasks (e.g. stocking, equipment checks, unit-based equipment disinfecting, etc), and PCA team meetings, providing peer feedback, monitoring PCA documentation, and actively engaging in department shared decision-making process improvement activities.
Conducts Audits (such as hourly rounding), conducts peer interviewing, Orients new PCA/ UC and PCA's. Membership on at least one unit committee, attends required unit based mtgs, education requirements up to date
- Performs and documents basic patient care tasks under the direct supervision of an RN. Maintains competency of tasks in which the ACT III has been trained. Completes assigned tasks within required timeframe. Seeks clarification from the nurse when in doubt about how to proceed. Serves as a role model to other ACTs for basic patient care competencies and tasks. Completes advanced ACT III tasks as delegated within scope and state laws.
- Maintains a safe environment. Reports safety hazards to appropriate personnel. Completes safety event report as necessary. Complies with Infection Control policies. Demonstrates knowledge of safety/emergency policies and procedures and appropriately corrects any identified hazards. Places emergency calls timely as directed (Code Blue, Fire, Special Alert, Rapid Response Team). Serves as a High Reliability Organization (HRO) Coach and/or knowledge expert for peers.
Communicates effectively with others. Shows respect to patients, families and co-workers. Reports patient related information in a timely manner. Reports problems in completing assignment/tasks in a timely manner to the appropriate person. Answers phone and patient calls promptly and courteously. Relays accurate and complete messages to the appropriate person. Follows each communication transaction to the finish.…
