Job Overview

With the impending rollout of Windows 11 and the subsequent relocation of the Desktop Services team to the Tech Center building, we need an IMT-Desktop Support Person to ensure seamless transition, efficient inventory management, and high‑quality deskside services for our corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Windows 11 Rollout:
    Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of the Windows 11 deployment across all corporate desktops and laptops. Provide technical support and troubleshoot during the rollout to minimize downtime.
  • Inventory Receiving:
    Receive and manage hardware, software, and peripherals. Track and document all assets accurately.
  • Deskside Services:
    Provide deskside support to employees, address technical issues, and ensure optimal system performance. Assist with hardware, software installations, updates, and configurations.
Permanent Assignment

After rollout, the individual will be permanently assigned to the Corporate Deskside Service team, duties including continued deskside support, ongoing maintenance and optimization, and collaboration with other IT teams to resolve technical issues efficiently.

Qualifications
  • A+ Certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical people.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, using industry best practices and procedures.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • 2+ years experience setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop/notebook hardware and software.
  • Experience with Windows desktops and notebooks, and iOS devices in a networked environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook (2007‑2016).
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related services (DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory concepts and administration.
  • Experience working in a structured, process‑driven environment.
  • Self‑motivated.
