Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Plant Maintenance Laborer

We are currently seeking self-motivated and dependable full-time Plant Maintenance Laborers. This opportunity is very rewarding to individuals who enjoy working outdoors and learning new things. CoreSkill Areas & Responsibilities:
1. Mechanical Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform general plant maintenance, including inspections, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
- Replace and repair conveyor belts, screening systems, and other plant components using both hand and power tools.
- Support fabrication and light repair work using cutting tools and equipment.
2. Preventative Maintenance & Equipment Checks:
- Conduct daily safety inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is operating correctly.
- Identify wear, malfunctions, or hazards and report or address issues promptly to minimize downtime.
3. Equipment Operation Support:
- Operate or assist in operating mobile or plant equipment when needed (e.g., skid steer, front-end loader).
- Follow safety protocols while working around heavy machinery and moving equipment.
4. Safety & Environmental Compliance:
- Work in compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and environmental procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas to reduce risks and promote operational efficiency.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow lockout/tagout procedures when required.
Mechanical Aptitude – Able to use tools and equipment to perform maintenance, assembly, or minor fabrication. Physical Endurance – Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in all weather, and climb ladders/stairs above 24 feet. Problem Solving – Capable of identifying issues in equipment or processes and taking steps to resolve them quickly. Safety Awareness – Prioritizes personal and team safety by following procedures and recognizing hazards.
Teamwork & Communication – Works well with team members, communicates clearly with supervisors, and follows verbal and written directions.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Previous experience in an industrial, construction, or plant maintenance setting preferred.
- Must be dependable, physically fit, and willing to work in outdoor and high-elevation environments.
