Position Overview
This position is for our Rail Department and is for C Crew. The hours for this position are 6:45 pm to 7:00 am and it is a 2/2/3 schedule with work every other weekend.
Pay$21.50+ (with a 10% shift differential)
Job SummaryThe AZEK Company/Timber Tech Wilmington division is seeking a Material Handler for our Prairie Avenue Facility. The Material Handler is responsible for staging and movement of raw materials and finished products within the production environment. CoreResponsibilities
- Contributes to accident-free operations and compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.
- Moves finished product for staging, packing, or shipping.
- Completes daily duties in accordance with workplace organization and efficiency methodologies, such as TPM and 6S.
- Gives production support in the staging of bins, skids, and raw materials; assists in recycling cardboard and other waste products.
- Performs daily maintenance check on forklift at the beginning of each shift before use.
- Uses safe operating procedures while operating forklift.
- Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management.
- 1+ years of manufacturing experience, preferred.
- Forklift certification.
- Significant experience running an extrusion line.
- Meet qualification and certification requirements established by Timber Tech’s Training Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) program.
- Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including: push/pull/lift/manipulate 10 lbs–100 lbs.
- Ability to stand for the complete shift; kneeling, lifting overhead, bending, climbing and crawling are often required.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where temperatures can become very hot depending on the weather.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
