The Quality Auditor is responsible for various testing activities required for the Quality Assurance process. This responsibility is primarily incoming raw material and physical property testing of manufactured products at the Wilmington location. Efforts will be within their designated shift or across shifts as directed to accomplish departmental objectives. The Quality Lab Tech must possess considerable skills, knowledge and experience related to the Manufacturing Processes, Quality Systems, Equipment and Specifications within the Prairie Plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contribute to accident‑free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.
  • Sampling and testing of raw materials (capstock, recycle, etc.).
  • Daily sampling of incoming material with probe.
  • Use different lab testing and measuring equipment including melt indexer, scales, muffle furnace, FTIR, DSC, color spectrophotometer, etc.
  • Review test results and report data to relevant parties.
  • Complete physical property testing on manufactured products: review and coordinate on test samples provided by production, includes samples from Wood, PVC, and Rail Plants, review test results and report to QA management of any samples that deviate from requirements.
  • Support other QA activities as required.
Qualifications,

Education and Experience
  • High School or GED preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; understand manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Must be self‑directed and motivated and able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
