Company CultureR+L Carriers has an immediate opening for a Mobile Systems Delivery Technician at our Corporate Office in Wilmington, OH. As a Mobile Systems Delivery Technician I, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mobile systems and electronic equipment used in our fleet. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:- Installation & Setup:
Install and configure mobile systems, including GPS units, telematics, communication devices, onboard diagnostics equipment in trucks, and FMS at our fuel islands. - Maintenance & Repairs:
Perform regular maintenance, software updates, and repairs on mobile systems and electronic equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. - Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve issues related to mobile systems, including hardware malfunctions, software glitches, and connectivity problems. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities, including detailed reports of issues and resolutions. - Compliance:
Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in Electronics, IT, or a related field preferred. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electronic systems, including familiarity with GPS, telematics, and communication technologies. - Problem‑Solving:
Good at analyzing and solving problems, especially complex technical issues. - Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and drivers. - Independence:
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a mobile environment. - Flexibility:
Willingness to change up daily work flow and possibly going across the street to work in the yard, dock or at the fuel island. - Safety:
Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices related to working with electronic and mobile systems.
