Diesel Mechanic

Job Title

Diesel Tractor Mechanic – $37.06 per hour

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for a Diesel Tractor Mechanic at our Wilmington, OH Service Center. You will maintain and repair fleet equipment, performing preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks. Depending on work location, you may also be asked to maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, conduct welding, and work on forklifts.

• Maintain and repair Class 8 trucks through preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs.
• Assist with maintenance of trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, welding, and forklifts.
• Perform AC and electrical repairs.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
• Keep accurate maintenance records.

• Experience with preventive maintenance on Class 8 trucks.
• Experience with minor and major repairs on Class 8 trucks.
• Experience with AC and electrical repairs.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Own tools.
• Dependable and reliable.

• Experience working on Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Experience with Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System.
• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Welding experience.
• CDL license.
• Class 8 towing experience.
