VP Aviation is hiring experienced Aircraft Avionics Technicians for MRO maintenance on a variety of commercial aircraft in Wilmington, Ohio.

If you have recent hands‑on avionics experience performing aircraft troubleshooting, installations, modifications, inspections, and system testing, we’d like to hear from you.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing maintenance team supporting heavy commercial aircraft with the potential for long‑term work.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, modify, install, and test aircraft avionics systems
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and system schematics
  • Perform functional testing using standard avionics test equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical and avionics discrepancies to determine root cause
  • Fabricate, route, terminate, and secure aircraft wire bundles and harnesses
  • Install connectors, contacts, and electrical components following aviation standards
  • Complete maintenance documentation accurately and in accordance with customer and FAA requirements
  • Maintain tools and equipment while following company and customer safety procedures
  • Communicate work status with supervisors and team members throughout each project
Requirements
  • Recent commercial or military aircraft avionics experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft electrical and avionics systems
  • Ability to read aircraft wiring diagrams and technical manuals
  • Experience using avionics test equipment
  • Knowledge of standard aircraft wiring practices and connector terminations
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in an aircraft maintenance environment and meet project schedules
