Role Description

The Maintenance Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Wilmington, OH. This position oversees the daily technical status of the fleet, coordinating maintenance activities to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable aircraft operations. Responsibilities include monitoring aircraft discrepancies, directing troubleshooting efforts, and authorizing corrective actions in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. The Maintenance Controller works closely with line and base maintenance, flight operations, and technical support teams to minimize operational disruptions and optimize aircraft availability.

The role also involves maintaining accurate maintenance records, communicating status updates, and supporting decision-making during irregular operations or AOG (Aircraft on Ground) events.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Aircraft Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, with experience in coordinating and overseeing maintenance activities for transport-category aircraft.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Power Plant systems and Aircraft systems, including practical knowledge of engines, airframes, and related components used in commercial cargo and passenger operations.
  • Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting skills for aircraft mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues, with the ability to guide maintenance teams through diagnostic and corrective procedures.
  • Relevant qualifications include an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate or equivalent, prior experience as a maintenance controller or in airline/Part 121 operations, and familiarity with maintenance tracking systems and technical publications.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include strong communication and decision‑making abilities, capacity to work in a fast‑paced operational environment, proficiency with computer‑based maintenance and reporting tools, and knowledge of applicable FAA regulations and company maintenance policies.
