Position Title
Administrative Specialist I (S) – Agency Office of State Human Resources Division, Temporary Solutions. Position Number: NC08. Grade: NC08.
Position OverviewThe role provides a solid human resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize employee potential.
Temporary assignment located at 4761 Ward Blvd., Wilson, Wilson County, under the Department of Health & Human Services. This temporary position begins on July 1, 2025.
Responsibilities- Serve as a staff/management assistant to high-level administrators within an organization characterized by multiple and varied programs/components.
- Provide one‑on‑one direct support and administrative assistance to upper management.
- Perform standardized office support assignments and other administrative duties that involve decision‑making and judgment.
- Interact with program staff, managers, representatives of other state agencies/universities, clients, service recipients, elected/appointed representatives, and the public.
- Coordinate business functions of the unit, including human resources administration and office coordination.
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma.
- Two years of related administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hourly rate of pay: $20.00, based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application.
This is a temporary position; no leave or retirement benefits are offered. Employees working an average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).
