Position SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Health and Safety Specialist like you to join our Wilson, NC Passenger Tire manufacturing plant. As a Senior Health and Safety Specialist, you will be developing and implementing policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace. You will be Identifying potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices, and working conditions. You will be investigating accidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence.
You will also be providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to employee health and safety. You will be maintaining and analyzing records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern and provide information required by regulatory agencies.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision.
- Supporting continuous improvement activities.
- Using advanced analytical/technical problem solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures.
- Supporting relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Required:
Bachelors degree in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental Safety & Health and 3+ years of relevant experience. - Relocation Assistance Provided with Full Benefits Package
