Under the direction of the Director of Apprenticeship and Customized Training, the Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the training programs that fall under the Director's oversight, assist with activities as needed and provide administrative and technical assistance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Provides clerical, administrative, and technical assistance for Customized Training (CTP) & NC Apprenticeship (NC App) Projects.

* Works with department staff and faculty to maintain course records, and submit reports relevant to projects and courses.

* Maintain records and reports relevant to the CTP and NC App programs.

* Works in partnership with Director to ensure course materials are ordered, often using E-procurement, prepared and ready for distribution.

* Ensures classroom assignments are given, equipment present and assists with registration, student tracking and transfers of students.

* Assists with course starts and close outs.

* Reserves classrooms and equipment needed for on-campus courses.

* Assists with admission and procedures for all apprenticeship students with appropriate college staff and faculty.

* Assists with marketing, outreach initiatives, and recruiting efforts for CTP and NC App programs.

* Assists with ensuring compliance with the standards of the NC Community College system and NC Edge for registered programs and participants.

* Assists with the development and evaluation of Work-Based Learning (WBL) apprenticeships, internships, job shadowing and on-the-job training.

* Attends meetings at the college and with industry and community partners as directed.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Required

* Associates degree in relevant field.

* At least one year of experience in identifying problems, creating solutions and managing projects involving recruitment, retention and management of participants in education or related fields.

Preferred

* Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

* Teaching experience.

* Experience working with manufacturing industries.
