- Intervention Aide
Forest Hills School District is seeking an Intervention Aide for the 2026-27 school year. The candidate must possess an educational aide permit or be willing to obtain one. Pay rate is $16.88-$22.64 per hour.
Definition:
The Intervention Aide is responsible for assisting in instruction and remediation of individual and/or small groups of students. (See attached job description)
- Complete clerical tasks assigned by teacher (i.e. grading, data records, filing, bulletin boards)
- Work with students in one-on-one or small groups, as assigned by the teacher
- Assist with supervision duties, such as playground, hallway, emergency drills, etc
- Communicate regularly with assigned teacher(s) regarding assigned tasks and student progress
- Participate in daily and long range lesson and classroom activity planning
- Assist children in use of computers
- Screen children with guidance from teacher and/or Building Principal
- Accompany classes on field trips (within scheduled hours)
The candidate must also be Highly Qualified by meeting one of the following requirements:
- Evidence they already have the "ESEA Qualified" designation on their current educational aide permit
- Evidence they passed the Highly Qualified Parapro Examination, or
- Evidence (official transcript) of attaining at least a minimum of an Associate's Degree (or higher), or
- Evidence (official transcript) of earning at least 48 semester (or 72 quarter) hours of college coursework
