HVACR Adjunct Instructor
The HVACR Adjunct Instructor for Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in both classroom and hands-on laboratory settings. This role requires the ability to teach students about the principles and practices of HVAC systems. Including topics such as startup, preventive maintenance, service and repair, and/or installation of residential and light commercial systems. The instructor will foster a positive learning environment, guide students in practical applications, and ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration from a regionally accredited institution OR associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution AND current HVAC licensure or certification AND three years of relevant industry/work experience
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, including mechanical refrigeration, heating, and cooling theory, electricity, controls and safety
- Experience with HVACR diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and repair procedures
- Ability to teach day and/or night courses
