Job Description

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Reliability Technician, Utilities located in Wilson, North Carolina, USA.

This role will support a new site startup, as such it may require periods of heightened travel to support these activities. This travel would be during the site ramp up period and dependent on functional needs and project timelines (in some cases frequent travel and or short term stays with vendors, sister companies, partners). During steady state operations, this position may require up to 25% travel.

Position

Summary

In the Global Engineering and Technology organization we deliver future-proof and innovative engineering solutions to solve complex challenges across our manufacturing sites and global operations.

The Site Engineering team operates as one integrated team in the Delivering Projects, Maintenance and Automation solutions. We operate in a standard, coordinated and consistent manner in support of the current and future requirements of our Manufacturing and Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) and in partnership with key internal/external network.

Automation is a dedicated team professionals with various technical expertise, responsible for the implementation, validation, qualification and maintenance of the ISA-95 level 1 and 2 manufacturing automated systems and applicable interfaces and level 3 recipe content for the manufacturing facility. Ensure that automated systems are fit for intended use and follow applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. cG(a)
MP) and company manufacturing standards throughout the entire system life cycle.

The Utilities Reliability Technician ensures compliant, accurate, and timely completion of corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance in support of the Johnson and Johnson pharmaceutical manufacturing bio-process and non-process utility related equipment. Execute predictive, corrective and preventive maintenance on all equipment and systems in area of expertise and one or more additional maintenance disciplines (e.g. Mechanical/HVAC, Utilities, Instrumentation, Electrical).

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair utility process equipment and non-process equipment supporting manufacturing process.
  • Investigates, troubleshoots, and provides repairs to equipment and instrumentation systems as assigned.
  • Operate and maintain utility equipment including, but not limited to:
    Boilers, Chillers, Air Compressors, WFI water systems, Clean Steam generators, Air Compressors, Air Handling Units, and Waste Neutralization.
  • Execute predictive and preventive maintenance on GMP and non-GMP utility equipment.
  • Working knowledge of utility equipment from an operation and manufacturing impact perspective.
  • Execute calibrations and repair of instrumentation associated with GMP utility and non GMP utility systems.
  • Maintain all calibration standards used for calibration tasks.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting process control systems including but not limited to PLCs and HMIs.
  • Familiarity with electrical theory, thermal energy principles, mechanical maintenance techniques, and electromechanical theory.
  • Investigates, troubleshoots, and provides repairs to electrical systems, controls, motors, emergency generators, switch gear, variable frequency drives, substations and MCCs.
  • Knowledgeable working with HVAC systems.
  • Proficient reviewing electrical, mechanical, and P&s/drawings.
  • Interpret and respond to equipment and process alarms as needed.
