Johnson & J&J is recruiting for a Sr Manager, Project Controls (PC) Schedule Lead, located in Wilson, NC. The role supports Bio, NC and is a part of the Americas Project Controls & Assurance team.

The Senior Manager Schedule Lead (Project Controls) is responsible for compliant deployment of J&J Worldwide Procedures and E&PS Schedule Controls tools, guidelines and industry best practices throughout the lifecycle of the project. The candidate will provide collaborative planning, scheduling, cashflow management and risk management support on capital projects.

• Provide support to the Director of Project Controls – Site Lead on Front End Loading (FEL) and early end-to-end timeline efforts supporting the capital investment, including agreement on project definitions, scope, priorities and assessment of resources and capabilities.
• Implement J&J’s Project Delivery processes with a focus on schedule and cashflow objectives, identify and mitigate risk, and adhere to key financial procedures.
• Ensure key tools and processes track project deliverables and report on progress, including status reports, project risks and potential solutions. Manage change control processes.
• Implement risk management processes throughout project delivery stages (schedule risk assessments).
• Attend engineering, construction and commissioning/qualification phase meetings.
• Evaluate the Designer (AE), Construction Management (CM) and C&Q firm’s performance on schedule control, cashflow, and change management.
• Evaluate subcontract procurement plan, track performance against target dates and review schedules for subcontracts before award.
• Support maintenance and update of the 21‑Tab / ESR (monthly cost report) to reflect status against the target schedule, identify key accomplishments, critical issues and areas of concern.
• Manage overall schedule development, integration and management across engineering, design, procurement, construction, IT‑automation, commissioning, qualification, operational readiness, process validation and technology transfer.
• Ensure proper schedule integration and highlight critical/near‑critical paths to enable mitigation planning.
• Provide thorough review of overall timeline and logic networks for all work streams.
• Support teams in developing project‑specific procurement strategies to meet timeline and cashflow objectives.
• Identify opportunities and risks, recommending actions to optimize schedule performance.

• Bachelor of Science (BS) or equivalent university degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management from an accredited institution.

• Minimum 8–10 years of Project Controls experience supporting major capital projects and overall project or operations management.
• Extensive knowledge of Engineering / Construction / CQV / project controls execution.
• Prior experience managing complex capital projects > $50 MM in Supply Chain, R&D, Pharma or Medical Device.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear project objectives.
• Track record of developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships at all organization levels.
• Strong listening and problem‑solving skills in conflict management.
• Full working knowledge of Project Controls methodologies in schedule processes.
• Familiarity with multiple contract types and implementation schemes.
• Experience in integrated scheduling, working knowledge of collaborative Primavera platforms.

• Familiarity with J&J Project Management approaches.
• Experience with web‑based project management systems and Monte Carlo cost analysis.
• Experience in an FDA regulated industry.
• Experience working under GMA/GMP or EPC contracts.

• Fluency (oral & written) in the English language is required.
• This position requires 100% onsite presence in Wilson, NC.
