Job Summary
This role supports the deployment of the MTO aspiration “to innovate to safely supply quality products and services competitively, faster, always”. The successful candidate will provide engineering design and startup support for GMP large molecule biologics manufacturing facility systems, and equipment, ensuring right‑first‑time execution of technology transfer and manufacturing projects.
LocationWilson, North Carolina, United States of America (full‑time on‑site)
Responsibilities- Coordinate with Technical Operations platform to align project actions with technology standards and engineering specifications.
- Develop, organize, and execute project plans as subject‑matter expert and process systems owner in collaboration with A&E, construction firms, and equipment vendors.
- Provide integrated equipment, utility, and facility engineering expertise for technology transfer and manufacturing projects.
- Review or approve URS, P&, C&Q, automation, and architectural drawings and documentation for bioprocess manufacturing equipment.
- Identify and synthesize business needs, engineering elements, and technology inputs to formulate practical solutions.
- Lead multi‑functional teams, resolve inter‑functional issues, and manage risk and conflict while maintaining a customer‑focused approach.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering to develop standards, define project priorities, and recruit team members.
- Education:
Bachelor’s or equivalent University Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Bioprocess Engineering or related field. - Experience:
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, including leading or supporting multiple projects concurrently; track record of successful program execution and team outcomes. - Preferred:
Two years of process/plant engineering experience in GMP large‑molecule biologics facilities; FPX certification and Six Sigma and/or Lean experience. - Skills:
Analytical reasoning, Computerized equipment skills, emerging technologies, Gemba Kaizen, issue escalation, lean supply chain management, problem solving, process control, process engineering, STEM application, situational awareness, technical research, technology savvy, validation testing. - Travel:
Up to 10% (international and domestic).
