Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of engineering experience within industrial manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, chemical processing, or similar regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, switch gear, and facility power infrastructure.
• Proven ability to operate independently and make sound technical decisions in the field.
• Experience supporting construction, startup, commissioning, turnover, or facility infrastructure projects.
• Strong documentation review and technical evaluation skills.

• Experience with in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing facilities.
• Familiarity with utility systems including water, steam, and compressed air.
• Experience supporting commissioning, qualification, startup, or turnover activities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Mechanical Engineering background may be considered if accompanied by significant utility and infrastructure project experience.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a major pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Wilson, NC. This position has been created to address an immediate engineering gap and will play a critical role in overseeing electrical project execution, system turnover activities, and facility infrastructure support within both GMP and non‑GMP environments. The engineer will serve as a key technical resource responsible for reviewing designs, overseeing installations, supporting construction activities, and ensuring systems are appropriately commissioned, documented, and transitioned into operation.

The role requires strong field presence, independent decision-making capability, and the ability to work cross‑functionally with project teams, contractors, operations, maintenance, validation, and quality personnel.

• Review electrical designs, installation packages, and construction work for compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Provide engineering oversight for electrical infrastructure projects from installation through turnover.
• Evaluate and approve electrical system modifications, upgrades, and field changes.
• Serve as the primary engineering resource for switch gear, electrical distribution systems, and associated facility power infrastructure.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of electrical system issues during construction and startup activities.
• Oversee construction execution and ensure installations meet design intent and operational requirements.
• Participate in field walkdowns, punch‑list resolution, and turnover activities.
• Coordinate with contractors, project managers, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Verify readiness of systems for turnover and operational handoff.
• Review turnover documentation packages for completeness and accuracy.
• Support development, review, and finalization of operating and maintenance procedures with an emphasis on electrical systems.
• Ensure documentation aligns with site quality and compliance requirements.
• Support work within both GMP‑regulated and non‑GMP facility areas.
