What You Will Do- Machine, fabricate, assemble, and modify precision tooling, fixtures, jigs and production support equipment from CAD drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools including mills, lathes, grinders, saws, drill presses, and other machining equipment.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams to develop tooling solutions that improve safety, ergonomics, throughput, and product quality.
- Troubleshoot tooling, fixtures, and equipment issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Recommend and implement improvements to tooling design, manufacturability, durability, and setup efficiency.
- Perform precision measurements and inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, optical inspection and other metrology equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation for tooling modifications, repairs, and completed work.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, quality standards, and 5S workplace practices.
- AA/AS degree (or other 2‑year post‑high‑school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Broad knowledge of multiple machines and machining applications.
- Experience in manual and CNC machine operation.
- Advanced programming skills, preferably on Trak and Bridgeport machines.
- Knowledgeable in the use of cutting tools with proper speed and feeds.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and solve complex problems.
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and blueprints.
- Aerospace or defense industry experience.
- Familiar with machining aerospace materials.
- Specialized machining certifications or advanced technical education.
- CAD/Solid Works software familiarity.
- Effective communication and mentorship abilities.
Salary Range: 53,100 USD – 100,900 USD.
