** Description of Work
** This position serves as a linen room attendant and performs the laundering of the residents clothing at Longleaf NMTC. The position oversees the agency’s linen room including sewing, altering, and mending activities. Work also involves inventorying, marking, repairing and issuing hospital linen. Responsible for subordinates and issues work assignments daily. Position ensures laundry is sorted and sent up to the floors for use.

Position marks all new linen prior to distribution or laundering. Coordinates with contracted laundry (White Cap) to ensure soiled linen is picked up and returned in a timely manner to ensure adequate fresh linen for the facility and talks directly with contractor on any linen issues working to resolve them. Individual works with healthcare staff to ensure proper clothing is distrusted to correct residents following established procedures for personal clothing.

This position will sweep, mop and dust linen and laundry areas for sanitation purposes.

Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (LNMTC), located in Wilson, NC, is a state-operated certified Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). With a staff of about 520, LNMTC provides support to approximately 200 residents with complex medical needs and/or co-existing neuro-cognitive disorders.
