The hiring ranges for this position are provided below, dependent upon qualifications for each Parks Maintenance Worker level.

• Parks Maintenance Worker I: $37,029.36 (minimum) to $50,972.15 (midpoint)
• Parks Maintenance Worker II
  : $38,903.97 (minimum) to $53,576.68 (midpoint)
• Parks Maintenance Worker III
  : $40,873.48 (minimum) to $56,289.00 (midpoint)
• Parks Maintenance Worker IV
  : $42,942.69 (minimum) to $59,138.61 (midpoint)

The purpose of this position is to participate in the maintenance of parks and recreation buildings and facilities. Successful performance helps ensure the provision of safe and attractive parks and recreation facilities to city residents and visitors.

The work consists of related technical duties.

• Parks Maintenance Worker I — Performs building and grounds maintenance; mows grass, weed-eats, paints, and collects trash.
• Performs small engine repair.
• Sets up tables, chairs, and sports equipment as needed.
• Installs playground equipment; installs and repairs chain link fences; repairs tennis courts and paints lines.
• Repairs and maintains sports stadium.
• Operates lawn mowers, tractor, backhoe, front end mower, and bobcat to maintain sports fields and related grounds and facilities; drives dump truck.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Major Duties — Performs building maintenance; carpentry, plumbing, welding, and electrical maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs small engine repair.
• Sets up tables, chairs, and sports equipment as needed.
• Installs playground equipment; installs and repairs chain link fences; repairs tennis courts and paints lines.
• Fabricates park signs.
• Repairs and maintains sports stadium.
• Operates lawn mowers, tractor, backhoe, front end mower, and bobcat to maintain sports fields and related grounds and facilities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Guidelines include department standard operating procedures, Parks and Recreation Policy Manual, relevant city, state, and federal codes, laws, and regulations, and supervisory instructions. These guidelines are generally clear and specific, but may require some interpretation in application.

• The position has direct supervision over Parks Maintenance Worker I (5).

• Major Duties — Performs building maintenance; carpentry, plumbing, welding, and electrical maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs small engine repair.
• Performs basic fiberglass construction, repair, and maintenance.
• Installs playground equipment; installs and repairs chain link fences; repairs tennis courts and paints lines.
