Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for a Manufacturing Supervisor to be based in Wilson, NC.

Role Summary

Supervises individual contributors, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management. Completes tasks for the support function of the Manufacturing Pharmaceutical Process Operations unit under direct supervision, and follows administrative processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables. Adheres to standard operating procedures to support tasks and team needs related to the processing of ingredients and/or pharmaceutical products. Documents day-to-day activities and resources and escalates any concerns or issues to leaders to maximize successful business results.

Learns process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling. Develops working knowledge of standard operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and procedures. Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within expected standards.

Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervisors assigned Manufacturing area activities to ensure their efficient operation in safety, environmental, cost, quality and production in alignment with the Wilson Site Vision. Partners and collaborate within and across Cells and COE’s to optimize site performance and create consistency of expectations and opportunities. Responsible for fostering site pride, a team-oriented culture and stewarding J&J citizenship.
  • The Manufacturing Team Leader will supervise assigned Cell activities to ensure their efficient operation in safety, environmental, cost, quality and production in alignment with the Wilson Site Vision. This individual will be a partner and collaborate within and across Cells and COE's to optimize site performance and create consistency of expectations and opportunities. This individual is responsible for fostering site pride, a team-oriented culture and stewarding J&J citizenship.
  • The Manufacturing Team Leader is responsible for maintaining a high caliber team through effective leadership of:
    Performance Management, Succession Planning and Talent Management, Recruiting and Staffing, and Training and Development processes. This individual creates and maintains an environment that serves as a learning atmosphere and fosters diversity and inclusion. This individual is accountable to maintain area and operating equipment and to assist in maintaining procedures and systems such as SAP-PM in a manner that ensures production is achieved per established production plan, budget and quality standards.
  • The Manufacturing Team leader will lead the execution of the Area business plan, including providing input on the site Cascade, Area annual budgets, capital plans, project prioritization, compliance and organization development plans. These individual cascades and translate strategic and tactical plans to foster their teams understanding of their contribution to achieving higher level goals including Area, Site and Company business objectives.

    This individual is responsible for effectively communicating within the Cell and across organizational boundaries. This includes timely communication and cooperation with other shifts and Areas as appropriate to ensure that the needs of the site are met.
  • The Manufacturing Team Leader will help to establish and then monitor metrics which will serve as a key method of communication while establishing and maintaining a climate of open communication, engagement and ownership.
