Machinist II - 2nd Shift; Onsite

Produces machine parts by assembling tooling, setting up programming, and operating CNC machine tooling and manual machine equipment for axis mills, multi‑axis lathes, and other specialized CNC and manual machines. This is a 2nd shift position with the following hours:
Monday‑Friday, 3:30PM–12:00AM. Overtime may be required and the position may train on 1st shift depending on trainer availability.

• Interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, reference planes, designs sketches, and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) for operation, material, and dimensional requirements.
• Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts into sub‑units or complete units using mechanical equipment.
• Take measurements of material and select appropriate machines for the process.
• Perform machining setups and make adjustments as required.
• Conduct inspections of work produced and check SPC charts for frequency of checks, gauging, and measurements.
• Keep records and maintain quality and safety standards.
• Lift up to 35pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
• Stand for 8 or more hours per shift.
• Follow workplace safety guidelines and procedures, report unsafe practices, and ensure prompt resolution of hazards.
• Comply with EH&S policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE and attending required trainings.
• Be available for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends.

• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in manual and CNC machining.
• Must be a U.S. Person (lawful permanent resident, protected individual, U.S. citizen, or other U.S. person as defined by the code).
• Ability to read CNC G codes and M codes.
• Background with quick‑change tooling and set‑up reduction techniques.
• Ability to interpret schematics or technical drawings.
• Familiarity with cutting tools, indexable tooling, tool holders, and chucks.
• Intermediate computer skills for typing, navigating screens, and learning new software.

• Experience operating multi‑axis lathes and mills.
• Experience with SPC chart analysis.
• Experience with EH&S safety training and compliance.
