We have an open Mechanical Repair Technician II, where this position is responsible for servicing customer returned products and ensuring the functional operation of the product. Ensure work is accomplished with high quality, in a timely fashion and is compliant with all company and federal regulations. Work effectively with other team members to accomplish company goals.

This is a 1st shift position with the following hours:
Monday-Friday; 6:00AM – 2:30PM (overtime may be required)

What You Will Do:
  • Repair products in accordance with product component maintenance manuals to meet regulations.

  • Disassemble, clean, repair and test fire-extinguisher products.

  • Use wide range of hand and power tools.

  • Navigate SAP with minimal assistance.

  • Comply with all rules and regulations of Collins Aerospace, including, but not limited to:
    Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance and Human Resources.

  • Check work methods and results for conformance to standards.

  • Report to Lead or Supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.

  • Perform all aspects related to the process of repairs through the service center include receiving, inspection, cleaning, tear-down, documentation, repair, reassembly and packaging of parts for return to the customer.

  • Apply strong attention to detail to ensure safety and quality and maintain a clean work area.

  • Collaborate with team members to maintain strong productivity in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Frequent standing, sitting, stooping and occasional climbing, balancing, crouching, reaching.

  • Must be available for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Strong mechanical ability.

  • Welding experience.

  • Ability to follow testing procedures and be proficient in performing the tasks.
