Wilson Medical Center – Registered Nurse (RN), Adult Behavioral Health Unit

$20,000 Commitment – Incentive Bonus

Schedule: 3x12 (7p-7a) rotating weekends/rotating holidays

About the Unit: 19‑bed Adult Behavioral Health Unit staffed with RNs, CNAs, Mental Health Technicians, Social Work Therapists, Recreational Therapists, and Psychiatric Providers. Treats diagnoses such as Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Substance Use Disorder. Patients may present with psychosis, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, mania, or exacerbations of mental illness.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Uses crisis intervention and de‑escalation techniques.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Performs timely and accurate Quality Improvement assessments.

Qualifications:

• Current state RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification within six months of hire.
• One year of experience in behavioral health or critical care preferred.
