Travel RN - Mother Baby - Newborn Nursery

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Newborn Nursery position on night shift requiring NRP certification and prior newborn nursery experience.

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• NRP certification required
• PALS and STABLE certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Prior Newborn Nursery experience required
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time

• Work in the Newborn Nursery/Level II NICU unit of a hospital environment
• Unit has 12 Level I and 2 Level II beds
• Cares for newborns aged 36-41 weeks
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses GE Centricity EHR system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• May float to assist Postpartum or Labor & Delivery units but will not take a full patient assignment there
• Provide nursing care to newborns in a Level II NICU setting
• Facility is a 294-bed Duke Lifepoint Hospital that is Joint Commission Accredited
• Self-motivated candidates preferred
• Scrub color is optional; travelers wear their own scrubs
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly
• First-time travelers may be considered
