Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery / OB/GYN

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

Night shift for Labor & Delivery: 7 PM - 7 AM, rotating every other weekend; day shift for OB: 7 AM - 7 PM.

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse will work in the Labor & Delivery and OB/GYN departments, providing compassionate care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. This role includes managing simple med/surge overflow as necessary and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients throughout labor and delivery.
• Provide support and education to patients and families regarding the childbirth process.
• Perform fetal monitoring during labor.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to create and implement patient care plans.
• Assist in simple med/surge procedures as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital protocols and standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Current RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• L&D fetal monitoring class completed within the last 2 years.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
