Position OverviewUnder the direction of the Chief Financial Officer and/or Director of Finance, the Staff Accountant is responsible for the effective functioning of accounting systems, including accounts payable, payroll systems, purchasing, cash management, general ledger, financial planning, financial reporting, financial analysis, and State/Federal regulatory reporting.
Essential Tasks- Be an active part in creating strategies to improve financial performance.
- Collaborate with all other departments to gather relevant financial information.
- Review real time operational data, in-depth financial metrics, and create key performance indicators geared toward analyzing both long and short-term financial health with data collected from all other departments.
- Stays up-to-date on current and ongoing factors that greatly affect revenue which includes but is not limited to:
- Medicaid
- Medicare
- 340b
- Third-party payors
- Value-based care
- Reviews and analyzes current and ongoing billing practices.
- Seek to revitalize reports that are currently utilized by improving efficiency, usability, and user interface.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field of study.
- Four years of related experience in an accounting environment, including payroll.
- A combination of education and/or relevant experience is acceptable.
- Intermediate level with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, 8 hour shift, Day shift.
Physical Requirements- Constant standing and walking, occasional bending, stooping, lifting, reaching forward and overhead.
- May occasionally be required to lift patients, office equipment and paper, usually not exceeding fifty pounds of direct lift.

The starting pay for this position is $31.50 hourly.
