Chemist Assistant

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Chemist - I (Assistant) to join our pharmaceutical client in Wilson, NC. This is a 9‑month contract to start with the potential for extensions.

Pay: $27.75 - $29.75/hr
; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Primary responsibilities are routine laboratory dissolution, assay/degradate, content uniformity, and identity testing and documentation in a GMP laboratory. Additional responsibilities include entering data into Labware, participating in investigation meetings and some drafting of investigations, peer review of laboratory data, simple troubleshooting instrumentation issues, and participation in the daily tier process.

• Education Requirements: B.S. degree (preferably in Chemistry or Biology, will look at Engineering if applicable).

• Minimum of 2-3 years industry experience.
• Experience operating laboratory equipment: HPLC, dissolution apparatus, FTIR, NIR, etc.
• Experience utilizing Empower.
• Experience utilizing Labware/LIMS.
• Knowledge of regulatory and cGMP principles.

• Experience performing peer review of GMP Analytical Laboratory Data.
• Background in technical writing including but not limited to: updating of standard operating procedures and writing quality notifications.
• Knowledge of Tier processes.
• Experience executing 5S principals.
• Understanding of root cause analysis principals.
• LabX experience would be beneficial.
