Prefab Shop Foreman

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Prefab Shop Foreman to join our growing team in Wilson, North Carolina.
The Pre-fab Shop Foreman reports to the Prefabrication Operations Supervisor. The Prefab Shop Foreman leads the shop crew in producing pre-fabricated materials to improve field efficiency and quality. The goal is to reduce installation hours in the field by fabricating materials in a safe and efficient environment to meet project deadlines. The Prefab Foreman schedules, monitors, and organizes daily work in coordination with field operations, VDC, and project management.
They are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of work while minimizing waste.
All work must be performed in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company. Work will consist of manufacturing prefabrication assemblies installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial, industrial and residential electrical construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and track all materials for multiple projects
- Read and understand each Prefab project and plan the work steps involved.
- Create labels for assemblies, and/or packaging
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality products on time.
- Communicate with the project team and Prefab Operations Supervisor
- Record time sheets for the project team.
- Keep track of all shop tools and maintain all equipment in the shop
- Maintain forklift inspections, and request repairs when needed.
- Maintain the safety and 5S around the shop.
- Keep up with iPads and any other electronic equipment.
- Maintain the same expectations required by a Prefab Assembler

- Bend conduit by hand with hand benders.
- Safely use power tools
- Operate equipment, trenchers, lift trucks, etc. in a safe manner.
- Operate two handed tools and equipment as required.
- Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints and written instructions.
- Ability to read a tape measure, rule or mechanical counter
Physical Function:
- Hear and see well (either naturally or with correction).
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.
- Lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Constantly move on feet
- Climb ladders (all types).
- Complete overhead work for full day assignments.
- Responsible for securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks.
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
