Job Summary
Job Description Specialist, Manufacturing Automation. Responsible for first‑line automation support for assigned line(s)/system(s) and/or engineering projects, working with plant maintenance, operations and process improvement teams to address line performance issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Provide first‑line automation support for assigned manufacturing lines and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation equipment and packaging system issues (e.g., PLC, vision systems).
- Support site implementation and ongoing management of serialization/aggregation, Systech Guardian, and SAP ATTP application.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation such as project plans, master specifications, requirements, qualifications, change controls, SOPs, and other controlled documents.
- Conduct quality investigations and lead corrective and preventive actions for automated equipment and systems.
- Maintain automation systems in compliance with SLC, cGMPs, safety, environmental regulations, and the Data Integrity directive.
- Communicate status and updates to managers and stakeholders, and participate in audits and training programs.
- Lead automation support projects, engaging team members, setting clear expectations, and managing project risks.
- Provide support on shifts and weekends as required to meet manufacturing operations needs.
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in IT/automation support in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, and servo drives.
- Experience with computer validation and system lifecycle development methodology.
- Experience authoring and reviewing SOPs and other controlled documents.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and support others in a culture of inclusion.
- Project management skills.
- Continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Right‑First‑Time methodologies.
- Package equipment automation and reject/verification serialization systems.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
- Data Integrity and cybersecurity acumen.
- Experience with real‑time programming, software development life cycle, and technical writing.

Salary and BenefitsSalary range: $87,300.00 – $. Eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement plan (401(k)), paid holidays, vacation, and compassionate and sick days.
