A lube technician at Hills Machinery/RJV is a professional who will maintain light and heavy-duty equipment by way of lubrication, including engines, transmission, hydraulics and other major components within the system. The usual work will be performed in the field under the supervision of maintenance professional, with the occasional in-shop service. Maintenance vehicle will be equipped with all the tools necessary to complete every job.

A valid drivers license will be required with a clean 10-years driving record provided by local DMV. Technician will work in shop setting until proficient in all levels of maintenance that will be required. Technician will need to be proficient in below duties:

  • Uses hand tools, pneumatic tools, water, solvents, or compressed air to blow out radiators and belly pans of dozers, scrapers, loaders, trash compactors and other equipment on a regular basis to prevent overheating and breakdown at specified intervals.
  • Removes and replaces air cleaners, pre-cleaners, and cabin filters. Performs lubrication of zerk/grease fittings and fluid top offs. Properly discard of all used materials.
  • Visually checks equipment for signs of potential problems such as oil, fuel or hydraulic leaks and reports these to fleet supervision. Inspection App will be utilized at every service interval to include full maintenance checklist.
  • Maintains accurate records of inventoried items including air filters, fluids, oils, and fuel dispensed for each piece of equipment serviced. Daily inventory checklist will be provided to ensure accuracy and turned in at the end of the workday. Inventory will be restocked/replenished by working with local parts department.
Qualifications
  • One year of maintenance and minor repair experience on various heavy equipment, or the equivalent of 2 years of experience with servicing automobiles, within garage setting. Field Service experience is preferred, not required.
  • Physically able to lift 50

    Lbs and capable of performing prolonged physical exertion. Must be able to stand and climb to heights specific to machine.
