Material Handler

Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials within a warehouse or storage facility using hand trucks and hand‑held scanning devices. They should have knowledge of commonly‑used inventory practices and rely on instructions and pre‑established guidelines to perform their job functions. This position may require a high school diploma and typically reports to a supervisor or manager while working under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.

It may also require 0–1 year of general work experience.

• Swiftly move materials between workstations and inventory using pallet jacks or carts
• Accurately perform systematic inventory transactions using a computer or handheld device
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area and ensure equipment and machinery remain clean throughout the shift
• Execute any other assigned duties promptly and effectively

• Adaptability to thrive in fast‑paced, occasionally stressful environments
• Precise adherence to written and verbal directives
• Flexibility to adjust to production requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting at a workstation
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times

• M‑Th 5 pm – 3:30 am (3rd)
• M‑F 7:30 am – 4 pm (1st)
