Job Overview

Evergreen Child Development Center is a licensed childcare center seeking a Co‑Lead Teacher to support the Toddler age group.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED, or Certified Daycare Administrator (CDA) or higher.
  • One year of experience working with preschool children in a childcare setting.
  • Ability to pass all background checks.
  • Required shift:
    Monday – Friday, 8:45 AM – 5:45 PM.
  • Compensation: $18 per hour, based on education and experience.

Hiring Process
  • Resume screen.
  • Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes).
  • On‑site interview with Center Director (30–60 minutes).

Responsibilities
  • Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
  • Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and execute them according to the classroom schedule/daily routine; use our parent communication app efficiently.
  • Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
  • Ensure the safety and well‑being of each child, respond to their emotional needs, and maintain an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
  • Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, and conduct biannual parent‑teacher conferences during the months of November and May.
  • Have the physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
  • Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
