Overview
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Product Engineer. This position is ONSITE Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at our Wilsonville OR Eaton plant.
What You’ll Do- Support a single product line which could include either Low Voltage Assemblies, Low Voltage Motor Control Centers, Medium Voltage Assemblies or Medium Voltage Switchgear.
- Prepare Bills of Material and CAD drawings, including control schematics and wiring diagrams, which shop personnel follow to build into a completed product meeting the customer requirement.
- Maintain engineering schedule to ensure drawings are released and parts are ordered in time to support the Production build schedule.
- Maintain good working relationships with Power Center Production team, Product Applications Engineers, Supply Chain, customers, distributors and Eaton Sales personnel in support of a quality customer service effort.
- Stay abreast of Eaton technical product developments and industry standards through training or other means.
- Provide technical support for customers and plant personnel.
- Support Warranty Technician and investigate warranty requests to determine root cause and solution to help customer.
- Actively drive and participate in a culture of “Safety First”.
- Support product line quality, using and modifying quality check sheets, peer review processes, and NCR Root Cause/Corrective Action investigations.
- Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives.
Required (Basic)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Wilsonville, OR facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Auto Cad, Inventor or similar related software.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in support of manufacturing through assignments in sales, inventory control, clerical, or production.
Skills:
- Familiarity with digital logic, control schematics, and/or PLC concepts.
- Experience designing and applying power distribution and/or motor control equipment.
- Prior engineering experience through internships or assignments in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with power distribution and familiarity with control schematics.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, Inventor, and Solid Works.
