Lead Wastewater Operator - Wilsonville, OR
The Lead Wastewater Operator will join a collaborative team ensuring that clients can deliver their services uninterrupted. Based in Wilsonville, OR, you will perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant, lead weekly meetings, and direct, assign, and train team members. You will contribute to the success of the program with efficient preventive maintenance, establish and maintain effective sample procedures of plant operations and effluent, and provide effective solutions to complex challenges that may arise.
You will diagnose operating problems, make process control adjustments, direct and perform necessary corrective action, prepare reports, collect samples, perform laboratory testing, determine proper chemical flow rates, maintain shift logs, and perform other duties as required. Most importantly, you will take action to ensure the safety, health and well‑being of you and your team.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plant.
- Lead weekly meetings and train team members.

Required Qualifications
- State of Oregon Level 3 Wastewater Operator License and Oregon Level 3 Collections License, or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
- Four (4) plus years of experience operating water/wastewater treatment plants.
- Experience leading teams and assigning work.
- Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and maintenance management systems.
- Proficiency in plant SCADA systems and software.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- State of Oregon Level 4 Wastewater Operator License.
- Associate’s degree in wastewater or related field;
Sacramento State acceptable. - Six (6) years of experience operating water/wastewater treatment plants.
- CDL preferred.
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance of engines, pumps, valves, motors, and related equipment.
- Knowledge of biological and chemical sewage analysis and principles of supervision.
- Experience operating plant PLCs and SCADA systems.

Salary – Base salary range $63,500 to $82,500. Position paid hourly based on hours worked.
Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full‑time basis as required by the nature of their role.
