Test Technician

As a Test Technician, you will be involved in the following:

* Perform the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of laser modules, electronic circuits, and mechanical assemblies.

* Work with free-space optical components - test and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems.

* May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.

* Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.

* Operate computer systems for testing of product and report writing.

* Use lasers, monochromators, optics, DMM/DVMs, arbitrary waveform generators, power supplies, oscilloscopes, Lab View software, current sources, laser beam analyzers, optical power meters, and other proprietary tools to perform tests and calibrations.

* Support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

* Contribute to control of inventory and work order management.

* Manufacturing and/or cleanroom workstation

* Day shift with flexible start schedule

Physical Requirements

* Standing and/or sitting workstation

* Lifting 5-10 pounds regularly

Safety Requirements

* PPE including ESD smock, ESD foot-grounding straps, and safety glasses
