A growing precision manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Machinist to join its production team. This position is responsible for the setup, programming, operation, and maintenance of CNC Swiss-style lathes to manufacture high-precision components with tight tolerances. The ideal candidate will have strong machining expertise, a commitment to quality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Set up, program, and operate CNC Swiss-style lathes to produce precision-machined components according to engineering specifications.

Utilize Fanuc controls and CAM software to create, edit, and optimize machining programs.

Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements to ensure accurate production.

Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other quality-control equipment.

Monitor machine performance, adjust tooling and offsets as necessary, and maintain tight tolerance requirements.

Conduct routine preventive maintenance, tool changes, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Utilize hand tools and precision equipment to support machine setup, repairs, and process improvements.

Maintain accurate production records, inspection documentation, and machine logs.

Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Follow all workplace safety standards and equipment operating procedures.

Proven experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-style lathes or CNC turning centers in a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of CNC programming, including G-code and M-code functions.

Experience working with Fanuc controls preferred.

Proficient in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and precision measurement techniques.

Familiarity with CAD software such as Solid Works or similar design platforms.

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with machining tools, measuring instruments, and manufacturing equipment.

Basic mathematical skills related to machining calculations, dimensions, and tolerances.

Experience with EDM, welding, plastics manufacturing, or related processes is considered an asset.

Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment and adhere to all safety regulations.
