General Production Worker
Join our Rebuild Department team where you will be involved in welding and repairing metal components for industrial shredders. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the high-quality performance and reliability of these shredders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cutters for welding using hand air grinders as per procedure.
- Weld hard faces on cutters.
- Grind profiles on cutters using hand air grinders and profile grinders.
- Operate air hoists and forklifts.
- Utilize cutting torches and propane pre-heat equipment.
- Verify and ensure the quality of all personal welds.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Identify cutter size and sweep size accurately.
- Maintain welding equipment including tips, guns, and hoods.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in welding and metal fabrication.
- Experience in general labor within an industrial shop environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Skill in using hand grinders and overhead cranes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Comfortable with labor-intensive tasks using a 9-inch hand grinder and welder.
- Interest and enthusiasm for metalworking positions.
- Ability to clean and fabricate parts according to prints.
- Attention to detail for verifying quality, size, and spacing of final welds.

Work Environment
Work in a fabrication shop setting, with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts. The noise level is typical for such environments. The position requires working day shifts from 5:00 am to 3:45 pm, Monday to Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
