Production Operator, Level III – Grinding

Pay rate: $22/hr. (plus 10% shift differential = $24.20)

Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30PM-12AM

Role Type: Evaluation to hire

This position is responsible for setting up machines within a production department to produce quality parts that meet customer sketches and specifications. When not training to perform setups, this person will operate machines to support production output.

• Operate and learn to set up profile grinding machines to manufacture customer parts
• Adjust machines as needed to maintain quality and meet specifications
• Inspect parts to ensure compliance with required standards
• Troubleshoot minor machine or production issues to maintain efficiency
• Train and assist other operators as needed
• Follow all safety policies and company procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including machine setup and operation
• Willing to train to set up machines and meet required production run rates, including operating multiple machines
• Capable of handling small wire sizes (.005” ± .0002”) with a tight tolerance
• Ability to troubleshoot machines and restore production in a timely manner
• Basic reading and writing skills with effective communication abilities
• Strong reliability, attendance, and work ethic
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management

• Works independently with minimal supervision
• Handles more complex parts and tighter tolerances
• Contributes to overall team performance and productivity
