Role DescriptionThis is a full‑time position for a Registered Nurse, office is based in Wilsonville, OR. Responsibilities include providing holistic and compassionate care for patients in hospice settings, performing clinical assessments, managing and administering medications, and ensuring patients’ comfort. The role also involves educating families about care plans, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and adhering to care guidelines and standards set by Vista River Hospice.
Qualifications- Clinical skills:
Patient assessment, medication administration, and symptom management - Communication and interpersonal skills:
Building relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams; patient education and advocacy - Organizational abilities:
Coordinating care plans, managing schedules, and maintaining detailed medical records - Technical proficiency:
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare technology - Compassion, empathy, and cultural sensitivity in providing emotional support to patients and families
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon
- At least one year of experience in hospice, palliative care, or related medical field preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; CPR and First Aid certification required
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for travel to patient locations
