We are looking for an ACE Trainee to join our PLATT team in the Greater Portland, OR area.
About the RoleThe Accelerated Commercial Experience (ACE) Trainee is responsible for completing an intensive rotational training and development program. The program provides employees with rapid exposure to multiple areas of the electrical distribution industry, including sales, operations, procurement, marketing, project management, and more. Successful completion could lead to placement in a commercial role, opening doors to various career paths.
What You'll Do- Participate in rotations across several disciplines, each designed to help transform and grow the business while fostering professional development:
- Warehouse/Logistics – Learn warehouse logistics including order fulfillment, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping.
- Sales – Engage in inside sales, outside sales, counter sales, and specialty sales, gaining customer service, product knowledge, sales skills, and digital tool proficiency.
- Operations – Identify profitability levers, understand safety and facility maintenance, use data-driven tools, and manage inventory for optimal customer service.
- Project Management – Gain hands‑on experience establishing client relationships, vendor coordination, order placement, shipment tracking, billing, and communication throughout projects.
- Energy Solutions – Quote lighting projects, conduct lighting audits, design layouts, explore EV and datacom opportunities, and serve as an overall energy expert.
- Automation – Shadow automation business activities and prospect automation services packages.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications What You'll Need- Open to relocation (required for program completion and career success).
- External candidates: minimum 3.0 GPA at degree completion, relevant internship/co‑op experience preferred.
- Internal candidates: 12 months Rexel experience, positive year‑end review with at least a Meets Expectations rating.
- High School or GED – required.
- 4‑Year/Bachelor’s Degree – preferred.
- High School Diploma/GED + equivalent military experience considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, or related field – preferred.
- Excellent communication, time‑management, and leadership skills.
- Flexible, adaptable team player with an enthusiastic, self‑starter attitude.
- Professional maturity and self‑confidence.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
