Director of Sales, Sales Manager
We're looking for an exceptional sales leader to take ownership of a growing insurance and financial-services sales organization.
About the RoleThis isn't a position for someone who simply wants to manage schedules, run meetings, and review reports. And it isn't a position for a great salesperson who just wants "manager" added to their title. We're looking for someone who knows how to build and lead a winning sales organization.
Responsibilities- Team sales goals and results.
- Coaching and development of sales professionals.
- Effective one-on-one coaching, role-play, and skill development.
- Sales activity, pipelines, conversion, and follow-up.
- Rapid identification and correction of performance gaps.
- Clear expectations and consistent accountability.
- Recruiting, selection, onboarding, and development of sales talent.
- Continuous improvement of sales processes and systems.
- Recognition and development of top performers.
- A positive, competitive, high-performance culture.
Previous sales-leadership experience is strongly preferred. Experience in insurance, financial services, mortgage, banking, automotive, telecommunications, or another metrics-driven sales organization could translate very well. Insurance experience is preferred but not required. State Farm experience is a plus, but it is not required. We would rather hire an exceptional sales leader and teach them our business than hire someone who knows our business but has never demonstrated the ability to lead.
Required Skills- Lead salespeople to measurable results.
- Build a winning sales culture.
- Coach people with different skill levels and personalities.
- Turn around an underperforming salesperson.
- Challenge a top performer to become even better.
- Recruit and develop talented people.
- Establish accountability without micromanaging.
- Have difficult conversations when necessary.
- Produce growth through other people - not simply through your own sales ability.
We're especially interested in candidates who can tell us: "Here's the team I inherited. Here's what I changed. And here are the results we produced."
Pay range and compensation packageBase salary: $100,000-$150,000 plus meaningful performance-based incentive compensation tied primarily to the results of the team you lead. Exceptional performance will create exceptional earning potential.
- Paid time off.
- Paid holidays.
- Insurance licensing and continuing-education support.
- Additional competitive benefits based on experience and position.
You’ll be joining an established organization with an ambitious vision for growth. You’ll have the opportunity to build something - not simply inherit a management title. We’re looking for someone who wants responsibility, autonomy, high expectations, and the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on an organization and the people they lead.
If you're a proven sales leader who wants to build a winning sales organization, we'd like to talk with you.
