Responsibilities
- Detect, troubleshoot and resolve system outages in aerial and/or underground capacities related to transmission levels, signal losses and off‑air interference.
- Prepare and perform emergency aerial and/or underground coaxial cable restoration due to cable breaks and/or damage.
- Perform preventative maintenance (power supply, actives) through testing, balancing, alignment and adjustments of components or equipment.
- Monitor, record and repair cable leakage, complying with applicable regulations.
- Observe and assist co‑workers with fiber splicing activities.
- Complete and distribute required documentation, such as work orders and daily logs.
- Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience as a telecom technician.
- Satisfactory driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Basic computer skills.
- Aptitude to learn new skills.
- Strong problem‑solving, time‑management and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to read and interpret maps.
- Bucket Certified.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Experience with ladder, hand or power tools.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Standing and walking for extended periods of time. Working outside in various weather conditions.

Base salary ranges (Oregon):
Broadband Network Technician I – $23.15–$32.41 per hour;
Broadband Network Technician II – $24.31–$35.03 per hour;
Broadband Network Technician III – $25.53–$35.74 per hour.
