• Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, metal, wallboard, etc., using carpenter’s hand tools and power tools, conforming to local building codes.
• Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for material requirements and dimensions.
• Select specified materials, prepare layout, mark cutting and assembly lines on materials, shape materials to prescribed measurements.
• Assemble, cut and shape materials, fasten together with applicable fasteners, verify trueness of structures prior to completion.
• Apply shock-absorbing, sound‑deadening, and decorative paneling to ceilings and walls.
• Fit and install prefabricated window frames, doors, door frames, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim, and finish hardware.
• Maintain production and quality, report to foreman or lead, handle tasks timely, work safely, maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform shop mathematics, plan work, solve problems, adapt to changing duties, and rate information using measurable standards.
• Perform physical tasks: climb, maintain balance, reach, handle, lift up to 100 pounds, stoop, kneel, crawl, and see well.
