This position is responsible for designing, administering and analyzing Tauck’s domestic employee health benefits programs, ensuring legal compliance (ACA) and cost‑effectiveness while improving employee satisfaction, handling complex escalations, managing vendors, leading open enrollment/new hire enrollments, and using advanced data analysis to make strategic recommendations for plan improvements. This individual will act as escalation point for complex issues and often lead projects, requiring strong analytical, communication and strategic thinking.

They will also be responsible for cross covering all other areas of benefits administration space, to include international health benefits programs, Leave Administration (to include parental/medical leaves), ADA accommodation, Consolidated Bill Reconciliations, Retirement Programs, Travel Benefits, and HR Benefit Systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Program Management:
    Oversee daily operations, vendor management, renewals and contract negotiations for all US medical benefit plans (e.g., medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, life). Manage Worker’s Compensation program for US staff (including workplace safety). Support fiduciary responsibility and administration for 401(k), Profit Sharing program.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
    Ensure adherence to federal, state and local regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, HIPAA).
  • Analysis & Strategy:
    Conduct benchmarking, analyze utilization data, identify trends and propose plan enhancements to improve cost and engagement.
  • Project Leadership:
    Lead initiatives like open enrollment, new hire orientations, employee health opportunities
  • Data & Reporting:
    Utilize advanced systems (e.g., Innovu, Truveris) for data analysis and reporting.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Several years of progressive benefits experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance or related field;
    Master’s or relevant certifications (like CEBS) are a plus.
  • Advanced Excel, data analysis, benefits administration platforms.
  • Soft skills include:
    Strategic thinking, complex problem‑solving, cross‑functional collaboration, strong written/verbal communication, high attention to detail, confidentiality.
