Construction Superintendent
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Construction Superintendent to manage daily operations on construction sites. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role requires leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively coordinate teams. A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety will excel in this position.
Responsibilities
* Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
* Enforce safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular site inspections to maintain a hazard-free environment.
* Lead and direct subcontractors, suppliers, and labor teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficiency.
* Monitor project schedules and budgets, making adjustments as needed to meet deadlines and financial goals.
* Conduct site inspections and quality control checks, ensuring all work meets industry standards and client expectations.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for project managers, clients, and stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
* Identify and resolve any issues or delays that arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track.
* Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
Essential Skills
* Proven track record as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of project management.
* Expertise in construction processes, materials, and safety protocols, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
* Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
* Strong analytical skills to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions.
* Familiarity with project management software and digital tools for scheduling and reporting.
* OSHA certification preferred; additional industry certifications are a plus.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
* 7-10+ years of experience in high-end, clean room, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor projects.
* Experience with change orders, RFIs, submittals, and take-offs.
* Proficiency in MS Project, Procore, and Sage.
* Experience managing projects ranging from $500k to $20M, with a focus on $3-5M projects.
* Experience with ground up, office fit-out, and renovation projects.
* Experience working on healthcare projects and/or manufacturing, clean rooms, biopharma.
* PMP certification.
Work Environment
The work schedule is from 7am to 4pm, with work sites located in Connecticut (Fairfield, Hartford, New Haven counties) and one in Poughkeepsie, NY. Work will be split between the company's headquarters and various worksite locations.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Wilton, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $180000.00/hr.
