Construction Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Project Manager to join our team. This role involves managing complex construction projects, particularly in the commercial, clean room, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor sectors. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee all phases of construction projects from initiation to completion.
+ Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
+ Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
+ Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
+ Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
+ Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.
+ Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
+ Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
+ Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
+ Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project risks.
+ Manage procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
+ Lead project meetings and facilitate effective communication among all project team members.
+ Provide operational management to the entire executive team and possibly subcontractors.
+ Maintain contact with the client during the construction process.
+ Responsible for the financial monitoring and settlement of the projects.
+ Supervise the executive staff, ensuring they are qualified to perform the work.
+ Responsible for the work planning and coordination for projects, ensuring work is carried out according to quality criteria.
+ Responsible for the entire implementation process from the takeover of the work preparation to the delivery.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, focusing on commercial, clean room, pharmaceutical, or semiconductor projects.
+ Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
+ Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Procore, and Sage.
+ Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
+ Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ PMP or similar certification is a plus.
+ Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and LEED certification is a plus.
+
Experience with change orders, RFIs, submittals, and take-offs.
+ Experience in projects ranging from $500k to $20M, with $3-5M being the sweet spot.
+
Experience with healthcare, manufacturing, clean rooms, and biopharma projects.
+ Heavy emphasis on scheduling and high-end projects like clean room and semiconductor sectors.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Wilton, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/hr.
